Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts

You can apply to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts by auditioning in a talent area and/or submitting a portfolio for up to six different programs:

• Fine & Visual Art
• Vocal Music
• Instrumental Music
• Dance
• Drama
• Technical Theater

LaGuardia High School also considers students' previous year academic records. 

The Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) is NOT used for admission to LaGuardia High School.

How to register for LaGuardia auditions

Go to the Dashboard page and click on begin registration for the Specialized High Schools. 

Follow the steps to register for LaGuardia High School auditions. You can register to audition for one to six programs.

Get Your Audition Ticket

Audition tickets will be available approximately two weeks after the registration deadline. Audition tickets indicate the audition date, time, location, and accommodations (if applicable).

Parents and guardians can print their audition tickets from MySchools, or they can get the printed ticket from their school counselor. If your audition date conflicts with your SHSAT date, please read the Specialized High Schools Student Handbook (available here: schools.nyc.gov/shs). Students must bring their printed ticket on the day of the audition.
